"Often while traveling with a camera we arrive just as the sun slips over the horizon of a moment, too late to expose film, only time enough to expose our hearts." Minor White

highschool fog

The fog was so thick tonight on my way to shoot basketball. I hate driving the two lane hwy 70 in the thick fog. I made it this time to east nicolaus high school and back alive and with a pic too.

burnt

Here are the results of that house fire a few weeks ago. I happened to be near it today on my way to a flipped car in a drainage ditch. I'm not the biggest fan of accident photos. You can see my attempt in the last photo. I hate invading peoples lives at these times. It's always makes me feel like a vulture.

the weather

I bought rain boots. I also take a lot of pictures of my feet, but so does another photog that i know, Kristina Barker. It has been raining here and chilly as well for the past couple of days. so i was sent out to look for rain features, an when yr lookin for photos they are hard to find especially if there is nobody out carrying an umbrella. this postman photo was an alright success after about two hrs of unsuccessful attempts.

punjabi women

I decided to take the Garden Hwy here in the Mid-Valley instead of my normal root and I passed these lovely Punjabi women in a walnut tree orchard picking greens. The women only spoke a little English. I need to learn some Punjabi.

the biggest fire i've ever seen

Here's some spot news I shot last week for the Appeal-Democrat. This house in one of the real rural areas of Sutter County became engulfed in flames do to the fact that the fire department could not get enough water to the area in time. The story can be seen here.

This is for Nathan.
Who I know will get a kick out of this.
The kitchen is not the same without you.
